Vesna Biga, poetess, novelist and fiction writer, born in Zagreb in 1948.
She graduated in Psychology and Phonetics from the Faculty of Philosophy, University in Zagreb. Her poems, and stories have been included in many comprehensive surveys and anthologies in Croatia and abroad, and translated into the Italian, English, Russian, Turkish, Slovenian, Macedonian, Esperanto and other languages.
She was awarded the Goran’s Wreath in 2022 and Večernji list prize for a short story Insomnia of Mrs. KS in 1983.
