Bio

Luka Milas

Luka Milas was born in 1973 in Zagreb, Croatia.
He graduated the Classical high school in Zagreb, and studied at Zagreb Philosophical Faculty. He has published in various literary magazines from 1990. He acted the role of the young Antun Gustav Matoš in the film Summer for remembrance directed by Bruno Gamulin (he was awarded the prize of the best debutant at the Film festival in Niš). In the graduation project Ništa od sataraša directed by the late Nikola Ivanda where he recites his own verse. He plays guitar and is a composer. His first music number Vidim sami (I see us alone) is on the disc Plan B by the group Yammat. He wrote all the verses and music on the CD Arijel by the group Florjian in 2008. With a pseudonym Luis FF Tabacco he recorded his music Lacrimessa (You Tube, Luis FF Tabacco) where he sings himself, Je ne comprends pas (he uses rhymed verses even in French) and the instrumental piece Cyrano de Bergerac in 2009. His spots are on You Tube. For the theatre piece The task by Henry Mueller, directed by Miran Kurspahić in Theatre ITD, he wrote the music. He writes and translated from English.

The Light is The One and the One is The Love,
Jesus' Kingdom shows – tender vibrations
Can lead us to God's heavenly creations.

FROM BELOVED

Look upon the stars, we are seeking The Word
Through blessed plunges and interstellar shows...
Who is The Singer, the never dying Bird,
Whose is that singing that shows and glows and glows...?
You will see the night of all your ignorance,
You will dark the breath that is not breath at all,
The breath without breath that is above all sense,
And not the fear of the never dying soul,
The sonnet of God lead us – better believe
The pain we feel is just crying for His grace
He is the living and He wants us to live
Knowing His omnipresence all around space,
This message is bright because I'm just aware:
He's Holly Justice and He is everywhere!

Luka translated his own two songs from Croatian to English – You Tube – Florijan Shine – . Florijan The torn of thrice. On the cover of Arijel (2008), and from 2009 he has been engaged in active painting. (Acrylic, paper and textile).
